In designing the Cooper Tankard for Cashs Ireland, Martin Croke invokes the memory of the craftsmen and the part they played in Waterford Ireland's history. Two horizontal bands of tight diamond cutting represent the metal hoopsthat bind a barrel holding it secure. Placed between these are long and short upright cuts denoting the wooden staves from which the barrel is formed.
