"St Nicholas"
is the first edition in a series
called Christmas Wonders by Waterford.
The beloved poem "A
Visit from St. Nicholas" written by
Clement Clarke Moore and enhanced by
political cartoonist Thomas Nast's
drawing of a rotund, cheery,
white-bearded, red-suited "Jolly Old St
Nick" with a stack of toys, elves, and
Mrs. Claus gave Americans their image
of the famed North Pole resident. The
artisans at Waterford Crystal have
captured Santa Claus and his
personification of the magic and the
wonders of the season with a finely
etched crystal "St Nicholas", the first
of five editions of the Christmas
Wonders Collection. |
