"The Nutcracker" is the third edition in a series called Christmas Wonders by Waterford.

Nutcrackers in the form of wooden carvings of a soldier, knight, king or other profession have existed since at least the 15th century. Originally hand-crafted in Germany, one could insert a nut into the big-toothesd mouth, press down and thereby crack the nut. The artisans of Waterford have captured the classic detailing of this stately nutcracker on guard with a toy rocking horse.
