Great Value - This set includes two Vinum Riesling Grand Cru, Chianti glasses and Riedel Merlot Decanter. All tastefully packaged in a special Riedel gift box!

Glasses are lead crystal, machine-made; decanter is non lead, machine made. All Riedel glasses are dishwasher safe.

Riedel Riesling, Chianti Grand Cru - This glass was created for young, fruity, acidic, dry, light white wines, less than 12 percent alcohol.

The slightly curved lip directs the flow of wine to the tip of the tongue, the area where the perception of sweetness is the greatest. In so doing, it accentuates the fruit and tempers the acidity, thereby creating a perfect harmony of the two from start to finish.

Recommended for: Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc (unoaked), Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Pinot Grigio.

The grape variety Sangiovese is native to stoney soils in the hilly area of Tuscany and produces a wine of medium body, elegant structure, easily recognizable by its intense cherry aromas.

Recommended for: Chianti, Dolcetto, Montepulciano, Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, Bardolino, Zinfandel and Riesling.

Other customers recommended: Crystal Classics is one of the largest independent retailers of Riedel glasses in the U.S.

Riedel, The Wine Glass Company

Michel Bettane:
“It takes a great deal of efforts for a talented wine-maker to produce a good wine. These efforts can be ruined in no time if the wine is not served properly. The quality of the glass plays a crucial role here and Riedel produces the largest range of high quality glasses, specifically fine-tuned to fit the predominant wine varietals of the planet. Riedel makes it possible to fully appreciate all the nuances of aromas and tastes from the best wines of the world.“

Varietal Specific Designs

The Riedel glass designs are based on the exceptional characteristics of each grape variety, which in turn determines the shape, size and rim diameter of the bowl. The latest machine blown technology, in conjunction with the seamless pulled stem, offers a special design feature "architecture", which  creates an indent in the bottom of the bowl, reflecting the light and adding another dimension to the lively color of wine.
