It is summer 1923 and at Roses coming out ball at Grantham House, St James Square, London, unexpected guest, The Prince of Wales, is her partner for the opening dance. Roses dress, with a dropped waist and wide skirts, is the height of fashion of the 1920s era. Gold jewelry including an intricate bandeau hair ornament and a long ruby and gold necklace and bracelet complement the abstract floral motifs on her dress.

The Crawley family - the Earl and Countess of Grantham, two of their daughters, Lady Mary and Lady Edith, and the Earls second cousin, Lady Rose MacClare has inspired Royal Doulton to create a limited edition figurine collection.
