Vezelyses ivory cream silk dress is decorated with fine gold stripes and accessorized with a gold pendant necklace. Typically worn to balls and grand occasions, gowns such as Vezelyse were the ultimate expression of couture house art. The Royal Doulton V%26A House of Worth fine bone china figurine collection is based on fashion drawings dating from the 1950s, held in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. The original sketches, selected from a momentous decade in fashion history, are part of an extensive archive donated to the V%26A, the worlds leading museum of art and design, by the legendary House of Worth in 1956.

As evidenced by the name, Royal Doulton enjoys the distinction of a "Royal Warrant" -- a mark of distinction bestowed upon people or companies who have regularly supplied members of the Royal Family with goods or services. Royal Warrants, regarded as a mark of supreme excellence and quality, cannot be bought or sold.

King Edward awarded the first Royal Warrant to Royal Doulton in 1901. The Doulton Company then became The Royal Doulton Company. Presently, the Royal Doulton brand holds two Royal Warrants, the Royal Albert brand holds two Royal Warrants and the Minton brand holds one.
