| Beginning in 1999, Waterford began combining its brilliant crystal and a lustrous Milano silver finish to create the sophisticatedly understated Stratton lamp. At once stable and airy, the lamp features a silver-finish brass base topped with a flared crystal body. A wreath of diamond-shaped wedge cuts encircles the upper rim of the crystal, connecting to a pattern of vertical cuts with tapered ends for elegant refraction. The inner workings of the lamp are encased in a separate shaft of crystal, so that the lovely look is not marred by mechanics. Sized perfectly for the bedroom or parlor, the lamp is topped with a white fabric rapture shade, pleated on the exterior and stretched on the interior. The lamp switch is a rotating dial on the cord with low and high settings. It takes a 60-watt bulb at the maximum, and very simple assembly is required.
