This basket has been designed to represent a floral shape. Flowers are one of Belleek Pottery's decorative identities where wonderful floral motifs and hand applied flowers grace the sides of many collections.
This hand woven basket is decorated with hand applied elements depicting each season throughout the calender year, Green branches draw you around the basket where yellow and purple buds begin to bloom in springtime. Summer is suggested by the wils, pink and yellow roses that are found in hedgerows throughout the Irish countryside with dragonflies and bees nearby. Fall approaches as you move past juicy red and green apples towards burnt orange Autumn leaves, The holly green leaves, red berries and red roses give a fesive feel announcing Winter. This basket is a celebration of the wondrous cycle of life as it ebbs and flows through the four unique and special seasons.
Each year Belleek creates an Annual Basket which receives a special backstamp only made during that particular year.
