From 1987 to 2004 Lalique Crystal was the official host of the Lalique Crystal Trophies, an international figure skating competition, which took place every year in Paris at the Palais Omni sport of Paris Bercy. To commemorate this event, Lalique Crystal created in the crystal trophy. Inspired by a pirouette by the famed skater, Katarina Witt, four-time Olympic champion.
