Expertly designed for Cabernet, Merlot style wine, these glasses are substantial in size, and yet very functional. These Cabernet glasses are perfect for full-bodied, complex red wines that are high in tannin. The generous size of this glass allows the bouquet to develop fully, and smooths out the rough edges. It emphasizes the fruit, playing down the bitter qualities of the tannin, and allows wines to achieve balance.
Recommended for Red Wine: Cabernet Sauvignon, Bordeaux, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Rioja, Tempranillo and Sangria.
History of Cashs Ireland Cooper pattern begins with the Vikings invading Waterford in Ireland. They appreciated its strategic value as a major trading port for goods and merchandise, a role it continues to play to this day. A lot of goods both dry and wet were shipped by barrel and a healthy barrel making industry developed in the Waterford area. Barrel makers or coopers as the trade was known continued their craft right up to the twentieth century before they were overtaken by modern technology.
